
A man arrested after a woman’s body was found at a holiday park has been released on bail.
North Yorkshire Police say enquiries are continuing after the discovery in a camping at the Bainbridge Ings site near Hawes on Monday.
A spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances around the death of a woman.
“The man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released on conditional bail.
“We are not yet in a position to confirm the identity of the woman.”
The man who was arrested was in his 40s and from the Lincolnshire area.
Police say they are treating the woman’s death as an isolated incident and there is no immediate impact on the wider safety of the local community.
