Man suffers head injuries in taxi rank incident

A man suffered head injuries in an incident in Richmond on Saturday morning.

It happened outside the taxi rank at Green Howard’s museum, Market Place, Richmond between 1.25am and 1.32am on Saturday and involved two men.

The victim, a local 24-year-old man, sustained head injuries, not believed to be life threatening, and was transported to Northallerton’s Friarage hHospital for treatment.

He remains in a stable condition.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for witnesses and any dash cam footage which may have captured the incident.”
