A man who was wanted by police in connection with allegations of assault and controlling and coercive behaviour has been arrested.
North Yorkshire Police issued an appeal earlier today (Friday, August 14) to help locate 49-year-old Sam Walsh, from Colburn.
Officers said Walsh was wanted in connection with serious offences and was believed to be likely to be in the Easington Colliery area of County Durham.
He was also known to have links to Colburn and Catterick, as well as Peterlee in County Durham.
Police said extensive enquiries had been taking place to locate the 49-year-old before asking members of the public for assistance.
In an update issued later today, North Yorkshire Police confirmed he had been arrested.
A spokesperson said: “He has now been arrested and is in police custody.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
