A Melsonby couple are calling on Richmondshire residents to March for Men this weekend to raise money and awareness to help in the fight against prostate cancer.
The march will take place at Croft Circuit on Sunday.
It is being organised by Peter and Janet Brown who say that while the aim is to raise awareness and funds for charity Prostate Cancer UK, the day will be a fun family event full of music and entertainment.
This story continues after the adverts:
With an optional Super Hero fancy dress theme, participants can opt to march one, two or three laps of the Croft Circuit to help raise funds and awareness of this great cause.
Each lap equates to two miles.
One in eight men will get prostate cancer, with black men even more likely to develop the disease
Experts say the rates of prostate cancer are set to soar over the next ten years.
Tickets for the march cost £10 plus £1.37 fees includes a March For Men t-shirt.
There is also the option to turn up and pay on the day.
