Masham boxer Kaine Elgie is celebrating after winning the Northern Area welterweight title.

This second belt adds to the Super Light Weight Northern Area Title Belt that Kaine has already won.

Kaine trains six-days per week to keep himself in top physical condition as he enters the world of semi-professional boxing.

Longer term Kaine would love to turn professional.

He currently works as an apprentice plumber to fund his boxing career.

Kaine is coached by his dad, Ross.

“Kaine is exceptionally dedicated to his boxing. He dedicates his free time outside of work to training as well as focusing and researching the right nutrition to ensure he is in peak physical condition at all times.

“Nutrition is exceptionally important to Kaine, he understands the importance of keeping fit both, mentally and physically and ensures his diet is that of a professional athlete at all times.”

Kaine is known as The Shotgun due to his explosive style of boxing, as well as a family connection to clay pigeon shooting, with his dad shooting for England.

Kaines next fight will be on September 2 at The Sports Village in Middlesbrough where he will fight Connor Raine to defend the Super-Light-Weight Northern Area title.
