Richmond Mayor, Councillor Carl Tate, and the Mayoress Sherrie Robinson hosted the town’s annual civic dinner at the King’s Head Hotel on Saturday evening, raising funds for three local charities.

The event was attended by civic dignitaries, community representatives, and supporters from across the area.

Guests enjoyed fine food, speeches, a lively game of heads and tails, and music and dancing which carried on into the night.

Proceeds from the evening will go towards the mayor’s three chosen charities: Friends of the Friary, Just the Job, Richmond, and the Richmondshire & Hambleton MND Group.

Cllr Tate said: “The Mayoress and I were delighted to welcome so many friends and guests to this year’s civic dinner. It was a wonderful evening, and we are truly grateful for the generosity shown by everyone who attended. The funds raised will make a real difference to the invaluable work carried out by these charities.

“For me, it was a shining reminder of the generosity, spirit, and unity that makes Richmond such an extraordinary place.”

The annual Civic Dinner is a key event in the town’s civic calendar, bringing the community together while supporting good causes.
