Richmond Town Council has organised another meeting to discuss the possible expansion of the town’s outdoor market.

It will be held on Monday at 5pm in the Town Hall council chamber.

This is a public meeting with all welcome.

It has been proposed to expand the Saturday market by allowing private market company Little Bird Markets to have stalls on a Saturday.

However, concerns were raised about the proposal and the impact it would have on town centre businesses when it was discussed at a full council meeting on Monday.

  1. If a company is bringing in “their” stalls what expense will there be to our local farmers and stall holders? Or will there be in increase to council tax bills at residents expense?
