
Villagers found 400 golf balls during a litter pick that are believed to have been stolen.
Residents of Melsonby found the balls dumped in a verge besides a road running into the village.
The discovery was made during a litter pick on Saturday.

The balls were from Bradley Range Golf Course near Huddersfield – 77 miles away.
They have not yet reclaimed them. If they are not wanted by tth club, villagers say they will be given away in return for a donation towards the village sports day.
In total villager collected 27 bags of litter from around the village.
They said that of that. 12 bags were recyclables.
Two of the crisp packets found in the hedgerows were dated 2007 and 2008 which villagers said highlighted how long litter can take to degrade.
