Richmond Swimming Pool has announced the reopening of it crazy golf course after a revamp.

The eight holes depict the town of Richmond and the Dales with bespoke obstacles crafted as mini replicas of landmarks.

The work was carried out by volunteers from B4G – Build for Growth, the firm that had made the capital improvements to the swimming pool and with the support of Darlington Carpet Centre, which removed the old putting green and laid a new green at no cost to the leisure trust, which owns the site.

Jan Francis, a volunteer from the Richmond Triathlon Club, added the finishing touches by painting the wood fence and surrounds for free.

Richmondshire Leisure Trust manager Austin Gordon said: “As a charity the trust relies on voluntary support as it continues to operate under increasing costs and these regular donations of time, resources and great will are vital for the trust going forward.”
