
An elderly man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a collision involving a mobility scooter this morning.
The emergency services were called to Easton Way near the junction with Catterick Road in Colburn at 8.45am.
It is understood the man was riding the scooter when it was in collision with another vehicle although the circumstances are being investigated.
The man, who is aged 89, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
It is understood the man has not suffered serious injuries.
Police were still at the scene at 11am today and Catterick Road was closed.
