More than 230 people took part in the Wensleydale Rotary Club Herriott Run on Sunday.
The run has been staged for nearly 40 years with the exception of last year.
Organisers Wensleydale Rotary said that after careful consideration and extra planning for the latest Covid guidelines they managed to stage another successful event.
The event began at Castle Bolton.
Running along a 14 km course, the 231 entrants from all around the country were aged between 18 and over 70.
The fastest time was achieved by Paul Cornock, from Richmond, in a blistering 53 minutes.
The equally blistering heatwave of the previous week was thankfully moderated by cloud and a light breeze.
