Motorbike seized during rural police patrols in Dales

A motorbike was seized by police patrolling in rural areas of the the Dales today.

Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team’s Inspector Martin Metcalfe took part in the patrol.

The bike was seized in Askrigg.

A police spokesperson said: “He had a really good result with the seizure of a motorbike.

“The rider was driving whilst disqualified and riding without insurance.

“The roads should be a safe place for all to use. We are keen to crack down on motorists driving without the correct documents so if you have any information you can pass to us then please stop us when you see us out on patrol, call the 101 number or submit anonymously through Crimestoppers.”

  1. Yes. The lad with this bike is a bloody nuisance. And the company he keeps is just as bad.
    It’s time he moved away from Askrigg all together.

  2. Don’t worry, Garsdale Parish Council have a vendetta against motorbikes and want them stopped from using the area, well they did, not sure if the remainder of the unelected councillors will be keeping up their attacks on bikers
