A motorcycle hearse carried the coffin of popular local businessman Dennis Graves today.

People lined the streets in Richmond to show their last respects to Dennis Graves, who died suddenly earlier this month aged 60.

The funeral cortege went through the Market Place passed Mocha Chocolate, the shop and cafe the motorcycle enthusiast ran with wife Elizabeth.

The passing bell in Trinity Church Tower rang out in recognition of Dennis’s award as an Investor in Richmond and his voluntary work in the local community.

There was a minute’s silence as the hearse passed the Town Hall.

The funeral took place at St James’s Church, Melsonby.

His wife had asked that people attending the funeral dress in bright colours in recognition of her husband’s flamboyant personality and mode of dress.
