
A motorcyclist died in a crash in the Yorkshire Dales yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which occurred on the B6255, between Hawes and the Ribblehead Viaduct at Far Gearstones.
The collision occurred at 3.36pm on Saturday and involved a red motorcycle and a white campervan.
The red Honda VFR, ridden by an 57-year-old man from the Wetherby area, was travelling from Hawes in the direction of Ribblehead Viaduct.
He was in company with a second black motorcycle.
The rider of the red motorcycle collided with a white Fiat Ducato E495 campervan.
The male rider died at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has dashcam footage, of the collision or anyone who saw the two motorcycles or campervan prior to the incident, to get in touch.
They should contact the Major Collision Investigation Team on 01609 643185 and ask to speak to Detective Sergeant 1818 Jeremy Bartley or Traffic Constable 1106 Matthew Tanfield.
