A motorcyclist died in a crash near Scorton at the weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision near Kiplin Hall between Great Langton and Scorton.
It happened on Saturday at around 2.15pm on the B6271.
A black Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Red Citroen C3 were involved.
The 58-year-old motorcyclist from the Durham area was seriously injured and died at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
