A motorcyclist involved in a serious collision yesterday suffered hip and back injuries.
The rider hit a tree and a wall in the crash on the A6108 between Richmond and the Downholme junction.
The emergency services including firefighters from Richmond and an air ambulance were called at about 1.10pm.
The road was closed for several hours while they worked at the scene.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the motorbike as the only only vehicle involved.
A spokesperson added that the male rider collided with a tree and a wall.
“The fire crew assisted paramedics with the casualty who was then taken by air ambulance to hospital suffering hip and back injuries.”
