Motorists have been urged to take care on a Dales due to poor road surface condition.
A motorcyclist is understood to have come off their bike on the B6255 near Hawes, on the route towards Ingleton, today.
Other vehicles have also struggled for grip.
Dales resident Thomas Beresford, who works as a winter contractor for North Yorkshire County Council, has flagged up the issue to the authorities.
He said: “There is nearly zero grip due to the chippings being rolled under the tar level.
“It’s made it as smooth as ice due to the past hot weather.”
He added: “There’s has just been a motorcycle come off and numerous vehicles spinning under load with it raining.”
