Volunteers from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist an injured mountain biker near Leyburn.
The team was contacted by the ambulance service following reports that the cyclist had been hurt at a site that was difficult to access.
Rescuers located the casualty and carried out an evacuation before transferring the injured biker to a waiting ambulance for further treatment.
The incident was the team’s 19th call-out of the year.
