A walker was rescued by Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team after suffering a leg injury on the Coast to Coast path above Gunnerside Gill.
The team was called out by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service after the casualty slipped while walking on the popular long-distance trail.
The fall resulted in a lower leg injury, requiring assistance from the volunteer rescue team.
After reaching the casualty, team members treated the injury at the scene before carrying the walker by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.
Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team said the incident was a reminder that even a seemingly minor slip can quickly lead to an emergency in remote areas.
The charity, which relies on volunteers and public donations to operate, has thanked supporters who help fund its life-saving work across the Yorkshire Dales.
