The owners of a Bishopdale holiday cottage are celebrating after receiving a prestigious national VisitEngland ROSE Award 2023 in recognition of service excellence to their guests.
The ROSE Awards recognise the accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience.
They celebrate the establishments, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation, where the owners, management & employees provide world-class guest service.
The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets the business apart, which includes facilities or services offered to make the guest’s stay really special. Choosing 100 from a pool of over 40,000 accommodation providers is based on the annual VisitEngland inspections along with Guest Reviews
received by the business.
Cottage in the Dales director, Diane Howarth, said: “We’re thrilled to win this prestigious award for the service we provide to our guests.

“It’s a combination of the quality accommodation, attention to detail, local produce on the welcome tray, personnel recommendations of eateries and seasonal days out suggestions, a personal warm welcome and returning guest offers.
“We have a small, super team who help us all year round, to whom we are extremely grateful – Rachel, our housekeeper, often referred to as the cavalry, Helen, who keeps the outside so presentable, and Louise, our gardener working in all weathers.”
