A Richmondshire Scouting volunteer has been recognised on the national stage after being shortlisted for a prestigious Defence Inclusivity Award.
Lindsay Sykes, deputy district lead volunteer with Richmondshire Scouting District, has been nominated in the Defence Inclusivity category at the nationally recognised Soldiering On Awards, which will be held in September.
The nomination celebrates Lindsay’s exceptional commitment to promoting inclusion, equality and opportunity within Scouting and across the wider community.
Throughout her time with Richmondshire Scouting District, Lindsay has championed initiatives that have strengthened community connections and helped make Scouting more accessible to people from all backgrounds.
