An autumn art and craft fair will take place at the Yore Mill Craft Shop and Gallery at Aysgarth Falls this weekend.
The gallery was opened by Julie Edwardson and Stephen Smith in July 2021.
There will be meet the maker events running at the gallery and also at the nearby Aysgarth Falls Visitor Centre where Lynn Ward on October 9 and Jo Garlick on the October 10 will be showing visitors their work depicting the landscapes and animals of the Dales.
The gallery meet the maker event will feature Julie Edwardson as well as Kath Lockhart, Gillian Munro and Elli Sarri-Neate, who will be showcasing a range of artistic styles.
Julie and Steve said they saw the event as the culmination of four months’ hard work since moving into the mill in June.
Julie, an artist and retired art teacher, and Steve, a former musician and archaeologist heading towards retirement, took over the former gift shop in June and in six weeks transformed it into a new shop and gallery space.
The craft fair is also part of the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival running from October 7 to 10.
