New cafe opens at Richmond Swimming Pool

The new cafe at Richmond Swimming Pool.

A new cafe is set to open its doors today at the Richmond Swimming Pool, offering a range of refreshments and healthy food for swimmers and visitors.

The Nutrition Hut is being operated by David Routledge, a former RAF veteran who served for 14 years.

David said he was excited to start his new venture and hopes to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

He added: “I want to provide a place where people can relax, enjoy a cup of coffee or a sandwich, and chat with their friends or family.”

David plans to source his ingredients locally and support other small businesses in the area.

He also intends to hire staff from the veteran community, as he says he knows how hard it can be to find employment after leaving the military.

“I want to give back to the people who have supported me through my service and beyond,” he added.

“I think this cafe will be a great addition to the Richmond Swimming Pool and I look forward to meeting all the customers.”

The cafe is open 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 7.30am to 3pm on Saturdays.
