A Richmondshire woman is aiming to bring a fresh approach to the local property market with the launch of a new independent estate agency.
Kelly Jeffrie has launched Roocrofts after spending her entire career in the property industry.
Based on a philosophy of combining modern marketing techniques with traditional customer service, the new agency aims to offer homeowners a more personal alternative to larger national chains and increasingly automated services.
Kelly, who co-founded Catterick Garrison-based Love Property before leaving the business in 2020, said her local knowledge and understanding of the area’s property market had shaped the business from the outset.
“Living and working here my whole life has given me a deep appreciation for what makes the Dales so special,” she said.
“I’ve seen how the property market has evolved, and I believe homeowners are looking for a blend of two things: high-end modern marketing and old-fashioned, proactive communication.”
According to Kelly, Roocrofts will focus on tailoring its approach to each property, ensuring homes are marketed in a way that reflects their individual character while providing sellers with regular communication and expert advice throughout the process.
The company is named after Kelly’s grandparents, Stan and Barbara Roocroft.
She said: “I understand that selling a home is one of the most significant moves a person can make.
“That’s why I’m committed to providing expert guidance and a level of personal attention that only an independent, locally rooted agency can offer.”
The agency is targeting homeowners across the Yorkshire Dales who are either preparing to bring their property to market or seeking a different approach to an existing sale.
