Excited youngsters from Gayle and Hawes have given the thumbs up to their new play cabin at the Little Ings play park.
The play cabin was made by local man Shaun Peacock.
Volunteers Chris and Sadge Thwaites, Stephen Peacock and Steven Calvert laid a flagged base on which it stands and helped Shaun put the play cabin in place.

Cllr John Blackie added: “Hazel Thwaites and the Gayle young mothers group, and I as chairman of the parish council who now own / operate the play park, led the project.
“Funds came from my North Yorkshire County Council’s County Councillor Locality fund, the District and Parish Council, and fundraising by the mothers themselves.
“It’s a great example of working together and the photo is the proof of this providing a big smile for all local youngsters in Gayle and Hawes.”
