New grants for businesses affected by pandemic now available

Two new grants aimed at Richmondshire businesses closed as a result of the current lockdown restrictions are now available.

The district council has launched the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum: January 5 onwards (LRSG (C) A) and the Closed Businesses Lockdown Payment (CBLP) today.

They are added to the suite of grants set up to help businesses and organisations through the coronavirus pandemic.

The new Government grants cover the period January 5 to February 15 inclusive.

They are for business ratepayers have had to close their business premises in line with the requirements of this national lockdown.

For businesses that operate within Richmondshire but that are not business ratepayers, as well as business ratepayers that have not been mandated to close their premises but are significantly affected by the lockdown restrictions applications for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) 5 January 2021 to 15 February 2021 are also now on line.
