A Catterick Village pub opens today with new tenants at the helm.
Shaun and Chrissie Dowling have taken on the Oak Tree.
Originally from Newcastle, Shaun served with the Army for 24 years.
The couple settled in Catterick 16 years ago.
Their son Danny wished them well.
“This is their first taste of running a pub, they have spent many times the other side of the bar so this will be a good experience for them.
“They plan to get it up and running and get it back to its former glory.”
The pub reopens after shutting in 2020.
