New landlords for village pub as couple retire after 27 years

New landlords are set to take over at The Crown in Brompton-on-Swale.

Morag and Joe Mozer have run the pub for the last 27 years, previously running pubs in Richmond before that.

The couple have raised thousands for charity over the years through events such as an annual charity walk, Christmas draw raffles and much more.

The popular couple are now retiring although will continue to live in the village.

New landlords Nigel and Lizzie Druery are due to take over on November 27.

The couple have previously run several local pubs including the Ralph Fitz Randal in Richmond and The Foxglove in Catterick Garrison, and have 30 years in the pub industry between them.

As residents of the village for 15 years, the couple said they wanted to carry on from Morag and Joe, keeping the local village pub at the heart of the community.

  1. I would like to wish the outgoing landlords a very happy retirement. Also I wish the incoming landlords every success.
