A new artwork by Richmond artist Lucy Pittaway will help raise money for families affected by dementia after she named Dementia UK as her company’s Charity of the Year.
The partnership has been inspired by Lucy’s own experience of having loved ones living with dementia, with the artist hoping to raise both awareness and funds for the charity.
To mark the collaboration, Lucy has created a new piece, There for Ewe, featuring her trademark sheep in a Yorkshire landscape. The artwork depicts a flock gathered among wildflowers as the sun rises over rolling hills and is intended to reflect themes of comfort, compassion and togetherness.
Lucy said: “There for Ewe is all about connection, kindness and knowing that you’re not alone. Dementia affects so many families, and myself and my team at Lucy Pittaway Ltd are delighted to be supporting Dementia UK as our Charity of the Year.
“Through this artwork, we hope to celebrate the incredible support the charity provides while helping to raise vital funds for its important work.”
Dementia UK provides specialist support to families through its network of Admiral Nurses, offering expert advice and practical help to people affected by dementia.
Hayley Lynn, Dementia UK’s regional fundraiser for the North East and Yorkshire, welcomed the partnership.

As part of the partnership, 10 per cent of all sales of There for Ewe prints will be donated to Dementia UK. The charity will also receive 10 per cent of the sale price of the original 32-inch by 24-inch painting, with the funds helping to support families living with dementia across the UK.
