The new mayor of Richmond has been elected.
The mayor for the forthcoming civic year 2023/24 is Councillor Ian Woods, while his mayoress will be Mrs Fiona Woods.
Councillor Woods has served on the town council for the past five years.
He is involved with the resources, planning, markets and community committees.
During his civic year, Cllr Woods will be fundraising to help local charity Just the Job alongside setting up a new mayor’s fund to support local organisations and projects in Richmond.
His deputy for the year is to be Councillor Philip Wicks.
The pair were elected at a full council meeting on Monday, May 22.
