New Rotary Club launches in Catterick Garrison

A new Rotary Club is launching in Catterick Garrison.

The club is for men and women in the garrison area who enjoy volunteering, making new friends and having instant connections all over the world.

Susan Rogers, the Rotarian behind the new club, said: “Rotary has been modernising for some time, but since the pandemic, when Zoom came into it’s own, it’s opened up so many interesting and exciting options for potential new clubs.

“Furthermore, with many people volunteering to help in all kinds of ways over the past year, and enjoying it, the time feels right to harness this enthusiasm and start new clubs.

“The new club for Catterick Garrison and surrounding villages will initially identify local projects to help the local community.”

Rotary is open to anyone aged 18 and over who shares the same values — fairness, beneficial and building friendships.

Anyone interested in joining can take part in a  free, no obligation chat on two online Zoom sessions.

They are taking place on Wednesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 29 at 10am.
