A new studio has meant more pupils and classes for a Richmond dance school.

Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy opened its own studio in September on the Gallowfields Trading Estate.

Louise Richmond, from the academy, said the company had grown significantly over the last 15 months and they needed their own premises to cater for additional classes and pupils.

She said: ““Having our own place provides opportunities that children would not otherwise have.

“t gives our students their own air conditioned practice space which is particularly beneficial for those going to to higher level study with their dancing, our parents can benefit from the ample free parking available the space also means we can teach two lessons at any one time which for many parents this is a perfect solution as siblings can be taught at the same time.

“We are able to offer our students a wealth of opportunities including displays, pantomimes, exams and shows at the Georgian Theatre Royal.

“Just this month we have had a pantomime visit to see one of our students performing in Sleeping Beauty, a Christmas Market Display, two Christmas trees to decorate and a visit to The Terrace Care Home in Richmond to spread the Christmas Cheer to the residents.

“And next year is set to be just as exciting with some of the pupils from the academy taking part in a show in May 2019.”
