New tenant sought for Richmond bank premises

A new tenant is being sought for the HSBC Bank premises in Richmond.

The branch is set to close in August this year as part of a restructuring exercise by the company.

The bank, which is one of 82 across the country set to shut this year, will close on August 6.

The Northallerton branch will shut on August 27.

The premises are being advertised to let for £50,000 per annum, or £962 per week.

The building has 3,392sq feet of space and a walled garden to the rear.

The building has a rateable value of £38,000.

The listing states: “The property comprises two storeys to the front constructed of brick and stone under a pitched roof, with a single storey extension to the rear.

“Internally the front banking hall enjoys the benefit of period moulded ceiling with inset glazed ceiling feature.

“At the rear there is a substantial enclosed walled garden extending approx 20 metres in length.”
