A new website has been launched to attract inward investors to Richmondshire.
The district council has developed the site to showcase the district to investors and businesses.
Invest in Richmondshire aims to show how the district is a “great place for business investment and for business growth” and highlights the reasons a business would want to locate to it.
The site offers information on Richmondshire’s connectivity and local workforce, as well as funding support and advice for those wishing to relocate.
The council’s business and community team have worked with local businesses to develop case studies by industry sector to explain why current businesses have chosen to locate in Richmondshire and continue to grow here.
The opportunities page provides details of the wide range of premises available to businesses as well as focussing on development opportunities through a number of strategic sites including the proposed Catterick 52, a location for those in the logistics and manufacturing sector.
Sue White, business and community manager, said: “We are extremely proud of our new Invest in Richmondshire website – it has been a lot of hard work but we really feel this provides an excellent platform to showcase Richmondshire to investors, developers and businesses.
“We hope it attracts businesses to relocate here to boost our local economy and provide quality employment for the local population.
“Richmondshire really is a great place for business. Our excellent transport links, skilled workforce and strategic sites provide an extremely attractive offer.
“What really makes us stand out from the crowd is the Invest in Richmondshire Team – we offer bespoke support for businesses wanting to relocate, and a one point of contact service, which opens up a wealth of support and advice for businesses from funding opportunities to development opportunities and the range of district council services.”
