November loyalty card promotion launches in Richmond

The Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association (ORBTA) has launched its November loyalty card promotion.

Organisers say the scheme gives shoppers the opportunity to support independent businesses with the added benefit of a chance to win from a range of wonderful prizes.

Shoppers are invited to collect a loyalty card and leaflet from participating businesses who can be identified by the loyalty card posters displayed in their shop windows.

To be in with a chance of winning, shoppers need to collect six stickers from six different participating businesses, complete an easy to answer question and hand in their completed loyalty card.

There is no limit to the number of cards that can be entered by an individual. All the correctly completed entries will go into a draw.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, December 3, which coincides with this year’s Christmas Market in Richmond, and winners will be notified by Sunday, December 10.

  • £100 worth of vouchers to spend in member businesses

Paul Harrison, Chair of ORBTA said, “As we saw with the Magic Tenner campaign, money spent in independent shops stays in the local economy far more than buying online or from large national chains. This is because most independent businesses buy from many other local businesses and so money goes round and round Richmond’s economy.

“ORBTA exists to support independent shops and businesses in and around Richmond which are many, varied and of an extremely high quality.  We look forward to another high level of participation to promote our local businesses.

“By taking part in our Loyalty Card scheme, customers are helping to keep Richmond vibrant as well possibly winning from a range of fantastic prizes generously donated by our members.  There is still an opportunity for businesses to be a part of the scheme and expressions of interest can be emailed to info@originalrichmond.co.uk.”
