A Catterick Garrison children’s nursery raised more than £300 for a charity close to their hearts.
Banana Moon celebrates its third anniversary last week.
A raffle and tombola raised a total of £341 for the children’s heart unit fund at the Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle.
One of the nursery’s staff members, Rebecca Jones, is currently on maternity leave with her son Jaiden, who had a heart operation at the unit last July when he was less than six-months-old.
Zoe Burrows-Egan, from the nursery, said: “The day was a great success enjoyed by many of our wonderful families and we welcomed some new faces from the community.
“Banana Moon would like to thank staff at Catterick Leisure Centre for promoting the raffle and selling tickets too.”
