Off-road motorbikes stolen in Scorton burglary

Police are appealing for information after two off-road motorbikes were stolen in a burglary.

The incident happened today between the hours of 12.05am and 1.30am in Scorton.

Two off road motorbikes were stolen, although one has later been recovered by its owner.

It is believed three males have been involved in the thefts.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said; “Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

“Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

“Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

“Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?”

  1. Re the burglary at scorton was exactly 1.55 not the time reported. my husband gave chase in a pickup and one motorbike was dumped in our field. The other bike ran out of fuel over the scorton lakes and was pushed through a near by farm by 3 men.
