Police have appealed for information after a sheep was killed and ten others were injured in a dog attack near Leyburn.
The incident occurred in a field outside Harmby sometime between 7pm on Tuesday, August 25, and 9am the following morning.
North Yorkshire Police said an unknown dog entered the fields near a public footpath in Colliwath Lane.
One sheep was killed after suffering a bite to its neck and a serious injury to one of its back legs.
Another ten sheep were left injured with various bite wounds.
Officers are now asking anyone who may have information about the incident, including anyone who saw a dog loose in the Harmby area during the relevant period, to come forward.
