Families and theatre lovers are invited to step into a world of magic, laughter and storytelling under the trees at this summer’s Theatre in the Woods – a free outdoor theatre event taking place at Bramble Woods in Catterick Garrison on Saturday.
Hosted by the community-led environmental and engagement initiative e50K, the event aims to # transform a natural woodland and community allotment into an enchanting open-air stage.
“There’s something truly magical about seeing theatre in a woodland setting,” said a spokesperson for e50K.
“The rustling leaves, birdsong, and the excitement of the children all add to the atmosphere. This isn’t just a performance – it’s a shared experience in nature.”
Audiences can expect performances featuring actors, woodland creatures brought to life, and interactive moments that invite the crowd to join in.
Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, folding chairs and plenty of enthusiasm.
In addition to the theatre performance, Catterick Historical Archives will be joining the event, bringing a fascinating collection of displays, artefacts and treasures from the past to the woods.
This pop-up exhibition will offer visitors of all ages a chance to explore the rich heritage of Catterick and its surrounding areas – all within the leafy backdrop of Bramble Woods.
There will be three performances throughout the day, with the 3pm showing being SEND friendly.
