enhill Ladies will welcome visitors to their next open meeting later this month, with a special focus on artisan cheesemaking in Wensleydale.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 7.30pm at Carperby Village Institute. Non-members are warmly invited to attend.
Guest speakers Ben and Sam Spence will give a talk on the founding of Curlew Dairy and their journey in producing handcrafted cheeses in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The dairy has gained a growing reputation for quality, with its Yoredale Wensleydale recently winning a gold award at the British Cheese Awards.
As well as hearing about the story behind the business, those attending will have the opportunity to sample a selection of the dairy’s artisan cheeses.
Organisers say the evening promises to be both informative and enjoyable, offering a chance to learn more about traditional cheesemaking in Wensleydale while supporting a successful local enterprise.
There is a charge of £5 for non-members.
Penhill Ladies said they look forward to welcoming both members and guests to what is expected to be a popular evening.
