Firefighters were called to Leyburn this morning after a person became locked inside the back of a van.
Richmond fire crew responded to the incident at Dale Grove at about 6.16am.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the person had become locked in the rear of a Sprinter van.
Firefighters were able to gain entry to the vehicle using a spare set of keys.
The person was released from the van unharmed.
