The region’s talented amateur photographers have been busy capturing their own view of My Yorkshire for the Garden Rooms at Tennants’ annual photographic competition.

Now the Leyburn arts & events centre is displaying the work of the 30 finalists in a special exhibition, and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite photograph.

The overall winner, and eleven runners up will go on to feature in the Garden Rooms 2020 calendar, and many of the photographs in the exhibition will be for sale, with 10 per cent of proceeds donated to Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.

Director Alison Tennant said: “We were astounded by the quality of the photographs entered this year, and it was a tough task picking the finalists.

“The photos in the exhibition all capture Yorkshire at its finest – and we are delighted to be able to showcase some incredibly talented photographers.”

The exhibition, which is free to enter, runs from the April 30 to May 12. For further details call 01969 621146.
