Plans announced for Queen’s Jubilee walk in Richmond

Plans have been announced for a community walk in Richmond to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.

The event will be held on Friday, June 3.

It will start at 10.30am from Nuns Close Car Park.

Entry is free.

The walk is just over three miles long and organisers Richmond Town Council says it is suitable for all.

Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult

Walkers need to wear strong footwear and dress for the weather, with the route along public footpaths and lanes.

It is estimated to take two to three hours depending on the numbers walking

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome welcome

The walk will finish at the Town Hall where refreshments will be served.

There is an option for an easier route back form Round Howe via the caravan park.

Everyone will use this route if it is excessively wet

Marshalls will lead and be on the route
