Plans have been submitted for a new dental practice in Leyburn.
The practice would be built on land adjacent to Trevor Cottage off Richmond Road.
The site is near the town’s fire station and district council car park.
The application has been submitted by Riverdale Health Care, which already has a practice in the town under its Alpha Dental Care brand.
Alpha Dental accepts both private and NHS patients.
The existing practice operates from the town’s Brentwood Lodge building.
The new premises would employ two extra full-time members of staff. the applicants say.
The application has been submitted to Richmondshire District Council for approval.

We moved to Leyburn in January and NO dentist would accept us as NHS patients. Let’s hope if this new practice is built that it will, at least for awhile, accept new NHS patients
