Plans submitted for luxury cat hotel

A luxury cat hotel that would “set new standards for accommodation” for up to 14 cats could be built in Richmondshire.

Plans have been submitted for the new development at Getas Ghyll at Moulton, near Richmond.

Photos submitted with the plans to Richmondshire District Council show the cats eating smoked salmon and playing games in luxury surroundings with mood lighting.

Documents submitted with the plans state that the development would be like no other in the district and will “set new standards of accommodation and facilities”.

The add: “It will be a small scale, high standard facility made up of fourteen suites. The building will be energy efficient and will offer new standards of comfort and style.

“As well as providing stylish and comfortable interiors the development will provide a peaceful rural setting within a mature wooded area with the building sitting adjacent to a natural spring.”

Photos submitted with the application which give an idea of the type of luxury in store for the cats.

The documents add: “The location of the proposal offers a quiet and relaxing environment for guests alongside an
existing natural spring under the cover of an existing tree line.

“As well as offering a peaceful and relaxing environment the location and building are designed to offer maximum
stimulation from the surroundings.”
