Plans take shape for emergency services show

Plans are taking shape for the Richmondshire Emergency Services Show.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 22 from 10am to 3pm at Richmond School.

Firefighters from Richmond, Colburn, and Northallerton fire stations will attend, along with the police and the Richmondshire area motorcycle project.

Other agencies and charities due to be at the show include the Institute for Advanced Motorists, Bloodbikes, Fire Bikes, Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team, the Alzheimers Society, the road safety officers and the Highways Agency

Refreshments will be available including ice cream and sweets.

Richmond firefighter Robyn Foster, who is helping organise the event, said: “It’s an annual event which went off the radar a bit due to Covid and last year’s was a bit of a washout due to adverse weather but we’re going again.

“It gives people the chance to look around the different emergency service vehicles and engage with agencies.”
