Leyburn Junior FC is recruiting players for its U12s team next season.
The club is aiming to submit a team to play in the Harrogate and District Junior League from September.
However, although it already has an established team, it needs more players to ensure it has a full squad for the season.
Coach Shane Close is asking parents of any Dales children who will be in school years 6 or 7 from September, who are interested in playing junior league football, to get in touch.
Shane said: “The team has played in the Hambleton and Richmondshire league this season and has really enjoyed it.
“However, unfortunately it looks like there wont be enough teams to run a local U12s league next season so we are having to look further afield and join the Harrogate league instead.
“Leyburn has two teams currently playing in the Harrogate league this season and although it does mean there is some travelling for away fixtures, it is a very well-organised and friendly league and this season’s U12s and U13s – who won their division – have had a great time.
“We think this season’s U11s will the challenge of regular league football too.”
Any parents of children interested in playing can message Shane via Facebook here or call him on 07732 549605.
