Police are investigating damage caused to the sports pavilion in Middleham.
The damage was caused to the door into the building between 6pm last night and 8.30am this morning.,
Nothing was taken from inside the premises.
Police say two sleeping bags have appeared at the same time close to the building and one has a name on it.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “If this is yours please contact Leyburn Police Station as we’ll gladly reunite you with it.”
