Police alarm advice after quad bike stolen

Police are advising households and businesses to fit a shed alarm after the theft of two quad bikes.

The machines were taken on Monday from the Scorton area.

Police say investigations are currently ongoing and if anyone saw anything suspicious or has any information that could be linked to the thefts they should call 101, quoting incident reference NYP-12122023-0189.

A spokesperson added: “Please ensure any garages or sheds are secured with good locks and security measures are in place.

“We strongly advise fitting a shed/garage alarm which can be purchased for as little as £10 from DIY stores or online, they are battery operated and are very easy to fit.

“It’s also a good idea to lock items together or to a secure fitting inside your building using a cable lock or chain.”
