Police appeal after attempted burglary in Swaledale

Police are appealing for information about an attempted burglary that occurred in the Reeth area.

It happened at a farm on the B6270 on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Offenders entering the site and snapped a lock that was securing a barn.

Nothing was stolen during the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance and in particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident or any information which would assist in identifying the offenders.”
